LIFELONG SMOKER EVICTED AT 88

Looks like denormalisation has actually got to the point where smokers are being made homeless. How else could the monster who is throwing an 88 year old lifelong smoker out into the street do it with such lack of empathy and compassion? This sort of behaviour against such a defenceless pensioner by the power of propaganda is considered normal these days.

After all, what would the righteous do if they couldn't enforce their caring upon us by forcing us out into the cold?

While cowardly Cleggy plays politics with smoking, when as Dep PM he should be writing to the Canadian PM to register his disgust, the pro-choice movement has jumped into action in response.

We don't have anti-smoker funding that achieves such great things as the eviction of old people from their homes, but we do have passion and a real desire to help those that are being abused because they are smokers. We do what we can. We show strength.

Rich White, the author of Smoke Screens, the Truth About Tobacco, and the Pro-Choice Smoking Doctor have written to the housing association asking them to reconsider on humanitarian grounds. They are asking for as many signatures as possible on a letter and he hopes to gain support from members of the world-wide pro-choice movement.

PRIZE PRICK SPIKED

THIS STORY on Spiked effectively analyses the recent news that Smoker parents are child abusers and finds it full of nonsense based on the real actual evidence of child's deaths from illnesses.

The author of the article also calls into question the sanity of the "leading doctor" who put this libellous information based on nothing but propaganda into the public domain.

Personally, I think each and every one of us smoker parents and grand parents should sue that monumental dickhead Douglas Banantyne who followed up on that announcement with "smoking in cars with children present is child abuse FACT" . Clearly it is not and the scientific and statistical evidence disputes it.

Once that evidence is collected and collated, and the right lawyer sought to handle the case, then the likes of Mr Banantyne may well be forced to wash out his mouth with soap before uttering such libellous profanities in future.

JOBSWORTH STALKS SMOKER

I am astounded. Following on from yesterday's post about the women facing charges for dropping a cigarette end twice, I can now report that she was indeed stalked by a Jobsworth who actually had the audacity to brag about it in court before proceedings began.

The case against the lady in question resulted in total fines, costs and "victim surcharge" of £290. Obviously there is more to gain financially from prosecuting smokers than there is from the tax on each packet of fags they buy.

The court heard how the smoke policeman was in a car behind this lady when he saw her drop her fag end out of the window. I guess this must have irked him and played on his mind because a couple of weeks later, he saw her car again, saw her drop a cig end, but this time he followed, parked up where she did, and then went into her place of work to issue a £50 fixed penalty notice.

I went round to see the lady at home after the case. She wasn't there but her friend told me that she didn't have the money to pay. She didn't appear at court because she had a medical problem due to an allergy. The case was proved in her absence after the Lincoln City Council prosecutor gave the "facts" as given to her by the jobsworth.

What I would say to all smokers who find themselves in a similar position is to make sure you do appear in court and plead not guilty unless the alleged cigarette end is produced as evidence and it has been tested for your DNA. After all, in this case, it doesn't appear that the Jobsworth picked up the cig end. The court just took his word for what happened and there was no one there to challenge it.

And be sure to look behind you in the car or on the street as you smoke because you just don't know who might be watching with pen and clipboard in hand.

It would be great if the Pro-Choice movement had a fund to support these law abiding people who fall foul of bad legislation which is more about tax collection than "justice". If anyone wants to help this lady pay her fine, as they did for landlord Nick Hogan, then let me know.

I have no regular work at present but I'd be happy to put a tenner in the pot. Are there 289 other people who would like to donate the same?

WHO SPEAKS UP FOR SMOKERS

The writer didn't say that there are, in fact, lots of people and organsations who do fight the smoker's corner and I salute them all and every single one of you who writes, blogs, debates on forums, or just stands outside in the cold and spreads the word.

I'd particularly like to mention F2C, Forces, Forest, and The Democracy Institute, Rich White and Chris Snowdon, and many individual fighters of liberty who work every single day in their own time, using their own money, and their own expertise to bring common sense, truth, and justice to the debate. The only thing they lack is a listening ear.

Neither the govt nor the shadow cabinet wants to hear of the smokers' plight because they are cowards and sanctimonious snobs. It seems the media is not listening either. Why didn't the writer of this piece even bother to get a balancing quote?

Their vile hatred and muck spreading is separating families. It's time for the Govt to butt out of our lives and to take it's vicious propaganda with it.
