ABUSE OF THE DAY

This piece of made up research is the latest pre-home and car ban assault on smokers using the Hitler propaganda tool of children as human shields.

And I assume the Guardian is in the anti-smoker industry's and the ConDem Govt's pockets bearing in mind how the Govt bragged:

"We will work with national media to raise awareness of the risks in exposing children to secondhand smoke."

Or in other words we will tell gullible and overworked journalists what we want them to print knowing that they won't look behind what our paid-for junk scientists say to achieve our ideological aim of purging society of smoking and smokers.

They know they don't need "truth" "fact" or "science" to back this up after the £3,000 per day Pharmaceutical Taxi For Hire former minister Patricia Hewitt lied and manipulated evidence to gain the blanket smoking ban on behalf of her clients.

It is on the back of this astounding piece of legal discrimination, and nationalisation of privately owned property, that smoker prejudice and hatred has grown to the level that even real evidence isn't required any more in the quest for further restrictions.

I suppose I'm more angry about the Guardian because I expected better as a former socialist but then the paper began to disappoint me back in 2008 when the sanctimonious columnist Libby Brooks told the world how I, as part of a delegation that went to parlt to be heard on the invitation of Philip Davies MP, was some sort of Hooray Henry.

She said class was an issue in people smoking but it isn't other than she has helped to make it unaffordable to low income families who will be forced to a dangerous black market while the rich and privileged will be able to afford to smoke safely.

Brooks said back then on what was the first anniversary of this ban that :

"...smoking speaks of disadvantage." without informing her reader that it is her own special brand of snobbery that is disadvantaging the vulnerable.

She piles up the bigotry further by quoting figures fed to her by the anti-smoker industry :

"And yet the fact is that 70% of smokers say they want to quit" and uses as an example of this the fact that she smokes (or did at the time of the article) but is too weak and stupid to be able to choose for herself whether to quit or not without the Govt's advice and hectoring.

At least the poor are capable of making that decision for themselves.

She ended her grossly misleading article by pontificating :

"It is neither patronising nor paternalistic to acknowledge the distinction between David Hockney and a Dundee single mum. Choice is not always free. But a recognition of that is only meaningful if it looks to the carcinogenic effects of inequality, too."

Sorry, darling, but it is.

I wonder if she gives much thought to that as she drives her car poisoning the under classes and their "poor deprived" children that she persecutes to ease her own privileged conscience.

I can't embed it, but the video of that event I attended in 2008 can be seen here and the only person out of place would have been the posh Ms Brooks with her no doubt pinched, upturned nose.

I'm definitely no snob. We 'ave dinner at 1pm and tea about 7pm. The on'y time you'd fin' me talkin' to people who soun' like they got a plum in their gob, an' them talkin' to people who live on council estates who drop consonants, like me, is at an event where you'll find other smokers.

A Forest video of an earlier do that I didn't attend can be seen here.

Simon Clark gives more background on that HERE.

It seems a life away from the days when we thought we could secure a reversal of the ban. Nigel Farage tried to help us even then. The best we can hope for now, and the fight we must NEVER abandon, is for fairness and acceptance as a minority through an amendment to a corrupt, paid-for and spiteful law that legalised intolerance and discrimination in this country against one group of people in a way it hadn't done since the equally evil laws that criminalised homosexuality and suicide. And yes, at one time in our history people could be hung for attempting "self murder."!

Our fight now is to prevent the smoke police from knocking at our doors to arrest us for being worse than child sex killers which is where the Guardian and its bigoted friends in ASH are taking this with the drip feed effect of misrepresented stories and manipulated studies and new words of abuse to describe lifelong smokers such as hardcore. A ploy by careful use of language to equate smokers with porn, sex, and perversion so that smokers as child abusers is implanted covertly into the wider public's belief.

Many of us were child smokers in a different age, from a different generation, who chose to continue smoking in adulthood when smoking was perceived differently and accepted everywhere.

True scientific, unsullied, non-corrupted, evidence shows that while we may irritate a tiny minority, we harm no one and we are more likely to harm ourselves than if we quit after almost an entire lifetime of smoking.

We are not child killers or abusers. Our mothers, fathers, grandparents were not child killers or abusers either. This hate and lies to achieve an ideological aim must stop.

I'd say write to current health persecutor Andrew Lansley and his boss Camoron to tell them that if they really want to stay in power, they are backing the wrong horse. As they haven't listened to one single word we have said, and they back laws to silence us, then I say again, PLEASE, vote UKIP because Farage is listening and UKIP in local or national Govt will be our only voice.

As for the Guardian, it appears to have forgogtten that its journalists are supposed to research facts and not just repeat and cherry pick bits of propaganda that suit the Govt of the day's purpose. That way fascism lies and if we get a revisiting of Nazi camps for undesirables whether smokers or muslims, then it will be the Guardian that's helped to facilitate them.

This is Chris Snowdon's take on it which is well worth a read. Seems the Independent also has lazy spoon fed journalists too.

And THIS from Smoking out the Truth.

A WEEK OF INSULTS

It's been such a busy week that I've hardly had time to do anything other than read a couple of blogs and post a few links on Facebook.

THIS ONE from Simon Clark is important because it presents the truth about SHS - or passive smoking - and how and why it came to be the stick that hysterical bigots beat smokers with.

A smokerphobe called Simon Crompton - who loosely describes himself as a "journalist" when he's obviously more of a propagandist - hasn't got a clue about the true science - but he knows for sure the hate he wants to spread about those he fears and dislikes.

By coincidence his bile came up just after I finished reading THIS from Terry Simpson MD who says:

The Surgeon General also stated that 49,000 deaths per year were caused by second hand smoke. As a surgeon, I was stunned, because I had never seen an autopsy report listing second hand smoke as the cause of death. Nor had I seen this as a secondary cause of death. So I asked six pathologists if they had ever listed second hand smoke as a cause of death – not one had. In my years of clinical practice, I have seen patients die from many devastating diseases, and yet I have never seen anyone who has been disabled by, or has died as a result of, second hand smoke. This was my first clue that perhaps there was more hyperbole than science involved in the reports issuing from the Surgeon General’s Office. To give a contrast: 33,000 people die per year of pancreatic cancer – all of the pathologists have listed pancreatic cancer as a cause of death.

If second hand smoke exposure is a significant risk factor for developing lung cancer, then we should expect to see increased numbers of cancer cases in non-smokers who are exposed to regular doses of second hand smoke. Has there been an increase in the incidence of lung cancer among nonsmokers over the last 40 years? The answer is quite simply… No.

I've also been reading Frank Davis's Blog and the fascinating debate on the link between active smoking and lung cancer with three posts from contributors that I admire, Chris Snowdon, Rich White and Dave Atherton.

I like Frank's latest post about Junican's game with Tobacco Control who were asking their employees to come up with new ways to shame, humiliate, abuse and insult smokers which was also featured over at Dick Puddlecote's place.

Tobacco control lunatics have to believe that people like Junican are tobacco industry lobbyists. They can't bear the thought that the little people are so pissed off at the anti-smoking industry's manipulation of their lives, and control of their Govt, that they have moved into a position of self defence and preservation.

Junican - who says he is just a 71 year old who looks after a 69 year old who can't enjoy the pub anymore - is like the rest of us who post on forums and other sites. We're just ordinary ignored people who don't get paid, are branded in some of the most inhumane and derogatory ways, and are fighting simply for the right to be left alone.

We don't promote tobacco and don't care if people smoke or not as long as we can be left in peace. We've heard the propaganda, we've scrutinised it and we've discarded it. We don't deserve to be punished and abused just because we won't do as tobacco control says.

We do promote choice - a concept that tobacco control can't grasp. The other thing we fight to prevent is not people quitting smoking if they choose - but criminalisation of those who choose not to.

The anti-smoking industry is pushing things that way through propaganda untruths which get picked up and promoted as truth by useful idiots like Crompton to incite further hatred and keep the funding ball rolling.

None of us fought or cared a damn about tobacco control methods until they conned a stupid Govt into excluding us from every public place four years ago. (The link shows the NuGovt is just as bigoted, blind and incapable of intellectual and independent thinking on this subject as the last.)

Since the ban, which was the first step before the rest could follow, tobacco control, part of the anti-smoking industry, have moved on to label us as child abusers, parents of criminals, and not worthy of more than being left to die if we need operations. Despite the fact that we cost the state less than healthy people

That rent-a-quote celebrity quack Dr Hillary Jones should be struck off in my opinion. Any doctor that takes this stance must be breaking the Hippocratic Oath. I think he should, perhaps, remind himself of this bit:

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.

If he really is a GP, and I don't know as I've only ever seen him on GMTV and in trashy papers, he should be reported to the General Medical Council for his lack of sympathy to patients and his promotion of inequality of care.

The other thing I saw this week was the story about how two smokers were sacked for smoking in the open air. What a rotten thing for Morriosn's to do just before Christmas. Scrooge would be proud. I'm boycotting that store's branch here. I hope others do the same.

This all comes as a result of years of Denormalisation a public health tool promoted by the bigots at ASH which has only recently come out into the open because it is so unethical they tried to hide they were using it.

The other thing that has kept me from blogging apart from real life work this week has been the dentist. I finally got one after years of being without a decent NHS dentist. This one, a Greek Cypriot, seems OK but I hate sitting in health related waiting rooms and having to look at lying posters exaggerating the propaganda myths of smoking and smokers.

One poster promoted that it was better to give up and get fat. "Weight can be lost - lungs cannot" it screamed. I wondered who among the denormalised smokers would quit and fear then getting denormalised and excluded further because they become "obese." It seems you can't win either way.

My dentist had a suggestion box. I wrote on a piece of paper that nice pictures on the wall would be far more relaxing that all the smoking signs. I won't hold my breath that my next visit will see any change.

There has literally been loads of suppressed rants this week but they'll have to wait. I didn't intend to blog this evening and my admin has taken a back seat as a result so I don't know if I'll be blogging again before Christmas. My last working day is tomorrow and I've still got all that shopping to do before Saturday.

It's not a pleasant thing to do anymore. It's no fun trudging through town and shops and not even being able to stop for a cup of tea in the warm with a smoke - something that used to be the highlight of the whole experience.

STOP DENORMALISATION NOW!

I am none of these things so stop denormalising me. This is a programme that aims to encourage hatred against smokers - a minority group and all it's about is fat cats getting rich on the misery of others.

Wasn't "denormalisation" by another name what the Nazis used to make the majority believe that Jews were sub-human beings,.

Sorry for those of you who believe that smokers are less human than Jews and are offended that we complain about where the Govt backed hatred of smokers is leading but when we are promoted as ...

Smokers as malodourous
Smokers as litterers
Smokers as unattractive and undesirable housemates
Smokers as undereducated and a social underclass
Smokers as excessive users of public health services
Smokers as employer liabilities

...then perhaps you can see where this anger and fear of the future as a dedicated, lifelong and cultural smoker comes from.

Denormalisation should be illegal. Why is our Govt and our countrymen not standing up for us against this programme? Those of you who are fat or like an alcoholic drink will be next and then what? Denormalisation of those who have dark hair, dark eyes, and as far from Arian looking as Romanian Gypsies?

FFS - Wake up! This must stop. This is THE most important issue this century.

WHY I HATE DENTISTS

They are money grabbing con-artists who don't give a damn if you're teeth are about to fall out unless you can pay them an arm or a leg and then, in my own experiences, they ruin them for life.

And this has just given me more reasons to despise the profession

The idea behind this scheme is obviously to further denormalise and humiliate smokers into quitting when we know all these conditions put down to just smokers affect people whether they smoke or not. Most of these conditions, such as "stained teeth" and "halitosis" and "hairy tongue" are usually the result of smokers and non-smokers not brushing their teeth.

Staining can also be caused by other things such as drinking a lot of red wine and gum disease is hereditary. Our dictatorial masters in the last Govt paid millions, you may recall, for an ad campaign warning drinkers that they are an exaggerated amount of times more likely to get oral cancer if they have more units of alcohol than nanny advises.

Back in the good old days when dentistry was free on the NHS, and dentists got loads of dosh from the state, they were calling us in for check ups every six months. I never had a problem with my teeth but every six months they would fill one - or two or even three.

When the old fillings I had from my youth began to wear in the 80s the dentist started filling them with gold.

"I can't possibly afford that," I said at the time the then dentist suggested it.

"Don't worry. The NHS will pay," he said and he didn't care as long as the cash rolled in.

Low and behold, after all my teeth were filled - with mercury I might add - they then wanted to start pulling them. This was a step too far. I changed my dentist, got a second opinion and was told my teeth were fine. I've still got 'em all.

Then NuLab came in and priced the poor out of dentistry in the same way they priced them out of Higher Education. The truth is, I can no longer afford to go to the dentist and neither can many people I know who have been so desperate for dental care they have resorted to such things as bleaching their teeth to remove stains, using superglue to stick loose crowns back in, and even pulling their teeth themselves.

My family - except me and a non-smoking sister - all lost their teeth because they all succumbed to inherited gum disease which has passed down to one of my non-smoking daughters who has to pay £1000 every three months for treatment for the rest of her life.

I have a troublesome front tooth which needed a crown after I got smacked in the mouth once and it needs attention but I know it won't get it until dentistry becomes affordable again and, I should add, smokers are treated equally. Being a smoker means I would rather die than access any healthcare. If I get ill, I will die because I will not seek help from a health service that despises me. Rest assured, antis, this smoker will not spend even £1 at your mealy mouthed expense to seek medical treatment for any serious illness - even if I have paid all of my life for the privilege.

Schemes such as those offered in Kent won't help anything but to incite more disgust at smokers. It should be illegal and dentists should be the ones who are criminalised and humiliated by the state.

DENORMALISATION ILLUSTRATED

It's interesting to note that I got a mention in yesterday's article by Guardian sketch writer Simon Hoggart.

I can just imagine him and Sir Peter Tapsell guzzling fine food and wine in an English summer garden as they poured over my election address and pondered on what I could possibly mean.

It would have been nice if Hoggart had asked. By way of example, I think the humorous sketch above from Jebb and Weighill's book speaks volumes far more than I could ramble here for a few thousand words - yes,I really could rant that long on the subject of denormalisation!

The book was a present from daughter No 2 who tells me it was one of things that she saw and thought of me so she bought it. Thanks Jess, but I'm not sure it's entirely practical (tee-hee) x

TOBACCO FRONT MAN TO SPEAK AT CONFERENCE

The former tobacco frontman who denounced his employers for their underhand marketing techniques, is to speak to delegates at The International Coalition Against Prohibiton.

David Goerlitz, the face of Winston cigarettes for seven years, turned against his employers, RJ Reynolds, and moved over to the anti-smoking cause because of Big Tobacco's underhand marketing techniques aimed at children. However, he becamse disolutioned with the puritans when he realised America's anti-smoking cause had become "criminal, corrupt, and a hoax."

"The movement has sold out to Big Government, Big Tobacco, and Big Pharmaceuticals for the sake of long term funding by smokers and tobacco users themselves," he said.

Goerlitz joins other speakers at The International Coalition Against Prohibition's second world conference, including Dr. Kamal Chaouachi, a Paris-based tobacco researcher and consultant. He works from a medical anthropology perspective and is a scientific collaborator of various research centers in Asia, Africa and Europe. He also teaches the hookah (shisha, narghile) science, to French medical doctors. Recently, he exposed the fraud about the purported deadly hazards of hookah passive smoke.

The conference theme asks : Are Guests Welcome? and discusses Prohibition and the Hospitality Industry. It will be held at Nieuwspoort Press Centre in The Hague on March the 15th, 2010. Under discussion will be scientific fraud, denormalisation, smoking bans and food regulation and their impact on the trade

"The politics of prohibition comes at the expense of many citizens' rights and it sets a very dangerous precedent, along with causing immediate and devastating economic repercussions, especially for the hospitality sector," a TICAP spokesman said.

"TICAP consists of more than 25 organizations from all over the world who
share the conviction that prohibitions are a threat to democracy and a
free society. Once an individual's right to choose is eliminated, special
interests are enriched and state intrusion is tremendously augmented.

"With this conference, TICAP intends to lay the foundations of an active,
world-wide opposition to the expansion of a political trend that uses
questionable science and public health institutions as vehicles to control
citizens."
