TAKING OUT PARTY POLITICS

I know that those who don't support UKIP but are working to make their preferred party of the LibLabCon open their eyes to the social and economic damage of lifestyle health control and propaganda, don't like it when I post back-slapping UKIP stuff on this blog.

So I've decided to take the party politics out of Tea and Cigarettes and have instead created a new blog for that purpose.

Politics will obviously stay as part of Tea and Cigarettes, and I'll still fairly or unfairly be heavily criticising politicians - especially the stupid, greedy or naive - but this blog will now be politically neutral.

Those of you who do support UKIP will find posts of interest over at UKIP Lincoln and Gainsborough so please feel free to visit, follow or share.

LAST WORDS ON CONFERENCE

I really should congratulate our local branch Chairman Nick Smith who was awarded a gold medal at Conference for all his hard work over several years for the party.

Nick knew nothing about it and was shocked to be recognised in this way but it was well deserved due to the fact that he keeps the branch running, he makes sure all our paperwork is in order, and he runs himself ragged trying to get new recruits and sign up candidates to stand in all seats at elections.

His next biggest task is to find 77 people willing stand in the County Council elections and I'm sure he is determined enough to do it.

Even Nigel Farage mentioned Nick's work as a good example of how to run a branch when he gave his closing speech at Conference.

I did take a photo but it was crap (sorry Nick) but this one with Hamilton and UKIP 2010 Sleaford and North Hykeham Candidate Jamie Corney turned out well.

Nick cornered Hamilton and wanted to know why he joined the party - self interest or country? Hamilton, apparently, told him that he had been a secret member of UKIP since 2002 because he realised it was our best hope and his once beloved Tory Party no longer existed. He said he only had the best interests of the country at heart as he has been there and done that already.

Nick wasn't the only one to give Hamilton a hard time but, I'm told, the former Cash for Questions MP came across humble and contrite.

Elsewhere, former Telegraph journalist Alex Singleton has a new blog commissioned by the Daily Mail to write about UKIP.

One of his latest posts is to ask why the BBC, an alleged "impartial" and "independent of Govt" public service broadcaster did a hatchet job on UKIP, lied about the party wanting Farage to resign as leader, and highlighted old infighting that doesn't exist anymore. Never has UKIP been more united or more professional. Shame that the BBC ignored this to feature a biased article based on its own left wing prejudice.

Evidence of UKIP's support for smokers and choice was evident throughout conference including the sale of these lighters - one of which I just had to get.

UKIP ALL GROWN UP

I reckon this was the best UKIP conference I've ever attended and please do listen to Nigel Farage's speech because you will find words that strike a chord with you no matter whether you are left, right or centre in your politics.

UKIP as a mainstream party has grown up and does offer the people of this country of whatever ethnic or class background a new kind of politics that comes from the bottom up rather than the top down.

The media and the other three parties are kidding themselves if they think that UKIP is just about trying to get disaffected Tories over. It is not. It has become the party of the people and the only one proud to speak up for English people, the only one to speak up for the working classes, the only one to speak up for those who are fed up to back teeth of the political correctness that is turning us into a nation of people who are too scared to speak or to think.

The Express has noticed that UKIP is a party not to be dismissed but I wish these people would get it and stop banging on that the new support for UKIP has come from former Conservatives who are desperate to leave the EU.

It is true of course but not solely the reason for the upsurge in UKIP membership and support which also comes from disaffected Labour supporters. And to keep dismissing smokers, man made global warming sceptics, and others fed up at the Nannying/Bullying of our lifestyles on smoking, eating, driving and drinking is an insult.

As Nigel said : "Working class people have been betrayed by Labour on immigration and the view that they not worth employing. Fancy saying that about your own population. These are decent people who want to work and want to obey the law. UKIP stands for those people."

I met plenty of people there from our own movement, many former Labour supporters, who have all crossed over during the last year or two because they know that no amount of lobbying is ever going to make a difference to those in the LibLabCon who want to control every aspect of our lives using the excuse of good health.

Of course the Eu and getting out of it is vital because from the EU comes this lifestyle control and ever increasing dictatorship which removes choice, free speech and all of the planks that have held up British democracy for two thousand years.



I, and a few others, were a bit disappointed when Inez Ward spoke about the battle to save the Great British pub because all of the things she mentioned were important factors in its current downfall but why she didn't even mention the smoking ban in passing is beyond me. The smoking ban started the rapid closure rate and had the biggest single impact although none of us can deny those other factors at play that Inez outlined so well.

Still, I agree with her assessment - Use it or Lose it. A really hard thing to do for smokers who are not welcome and faced with the prospect of paying far too much on each pint that must be drunk outside in cold weather.

UKIP speakers outlined many policies. It was more professional in its approach and it drew in a record number of delegates. Each year support grows and it is only a question of time before UKIP has a presence in Westminster.

As Patrick Flynn of the Express noted : "...one in every 20 people you pass in the street is now a UKIP supporter. That also helps to explain why the Conservatives these days find it so difficult to score the magic 40 per cent or more in polls or national elections.

The days when David Cameron felt able to smear the party as the refuge of “fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists” are long gone – too many of his own party membership share UKIP’s main goal of extracting Britain from the EU for him to risk language like that again.

... it can put Labour and the Tories under tremendous pressure to pledge a referendum in the run-up to the 2015 general election.

If the party can keep its nerve and a lid on the faction-fighting to which it is prone, there is every prospect of it changing British politics for good.".

We can only hope that this pressure also applies to get the LibLabCon to lay off our lifestyles, leave us alone, and allow for an amendment to the smoking ban so people are once again free to associate with people who share their lifestyle and don't want to be forced to change.



Bill Etheridge from the Campaign Against Political Correctness gave a rousing speech. He explained why he crossed over to UKIP from the Conservatives and said he was delighted and honoured to be a member of such a great party that carries with it the hope for a better country and a better life where freedom of speech is respected and tempered by fierce debate.

The Freedom Association was also there and held a fringe event. I wanted to sit in the debate about drugs but somehow I missed it. I did listen to an excellent debate about whether UKIP should privatise the BBC which is biased in its ideology, "awash with a Jacuzzi full of cash" largely wasted and fed to fat cat top staff and entertainers, in an age where balance and impartiality can be found in a world wide web of stories and opinions from across the internet.

Alex Deane from Big Brother Watch spoke about how jobsworths can bully the poor into paying that which they cannot afford, and how the licence fee is a personal tax levy on each household.

He mentioned, for example, how quality programmes such as Sons of Anarchy and the Sopranos are put out by HBO - a television provider who takes no money from the public - while we are too often force fed tat from the BBC.

Nigel said in his closing speech that TFA only holds fringe events at main stream party conferences. Another example that UKIP has come of age and is a force to be reckoned with.

To my smoking ban warrior friends I say come over. You will find it is like coming home.

CLARIFICATION

Just a quick post to put right the bollocks I just heard on BBC news.

"UKIP's Nigel Farage is appealing to disaffected Tories to join his party..."

Errrr - no, not exactly. Neither he nor anyone else in UKIP wants a Tory Party Mk II. UKIP is a new party - something completely different and independent of any existing party and it has whole set of its own policies vastly different to what is currently on offer from the old failed parties who have betrayed their traditional supporters.

UKIP wants disaffected former supporters of ALL parties to take a look at what UKIP offers and just as many from Labour and the LibDems as the NuTory party are crossing over and finding that they like it very much.

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE

Day one of the UKIP Conference got off to a fantastic start with an address on how to win elections from the UKIP Mayor of Ramsey Lisa Duffy.

The photo below shows some of those who took seats on their own local authorities during the last local elections and Cllr Peter Reeve explained how UKIP support is growing and getting stronger. That can practically and realistically be built on to get the Party's first seats in Westminster by the time the next general election comes around.



Targeted seats and better training for PPC's are just two of the measures outlined to ensure that seats will be won in Westminster for the first time in the new party of the people's history.

Delegates were also told how poll results show that more young people are attracted to UKIP than the Liblabcon and one 18 year old member of Young Independence Sanya Jeet Thandi explained why she decided to join and become politically active.

"Mahatma Ghandi once said :"Be the change you want to see" and that is why I am here," she said.

"UKIP is appealing to the wider public. I believe the policies are the best out there. UKIP must focus less on the EU because that stance is well known and people out there need to know what else the Party can offer their communities at both local and national level."

Sanya-Jeet spoke with passion and intellect about many issues that older politicians in the main stream have failed to get to grips with . She hit a chord with me, for example, when she said that we are failing to win the war on drugs. The audience cheered and clapped when she said that if elected to Govt, UKIP would seek a Royal Commission to find a rational and realistic approach to the problem.

"The current policies on drugs are just not working and something needs to change," she said.

On Immigration she said that UKIP is too often seen as anti-immigrant but it is in fact pro-controlled immigration and this needed to be more widely known although the message was beginning to get out as more and more people wake up to what UKIP can offer - something very different, based in common sense, and what people want rather than what they are being told to do.



Neil Hamilton went down better with delegates than I expected and he was in fact a very good speaker and his comic touch warmed the audience over to his side. He said he had been a member of UKIP for some years now but only recently "came out" to show his change of political support from the old Tories.

He said Cameroid's false promises and his metal fatigued "Cast Iron Policy" on the EU referendum was like "all fur and no knickers."

He said the Conservatives don't exist in any recognisable form anymore and he was proud to become a UKIP member but the party should not become a Tory alternative and should seek to attract the disaffected from other members of the LibLabCon.



Nigel Farage was his usual passionate self and his members are in awe of him. He spoke about the desire to keep The Union of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland together but the reality must be accepted that "the genie is now out of the bottle with devolution and there is no putting it back."

He said UKIP would now work for a fairer deal for the English and must look at fighting for an English Parliament because too many English people are angry at being made to feel like the poor relation and being made to feel ashamed and embarassed at being English.

"The politicians reel in horror at the idea of pride in being English - and the idea of the cross of St George being flown proudly."

He spoke of all the broken promises by Cameron including the bonfire of the Quangos which never happened.

"If we say we will cut back quangos - we WILL cut back quangos," he said.

Farage also hit the nail on the head when he spoke about Labour's lost support which will never come back, Tories that are not Conservative anymore, and the Lib Dems who gambled their principles to share power.

"There is nothing "liberal" about them," he said. "UKIP is the only party that offers something different - real and proper Libertarianism."

Farage has told me himself that the smoking issue and other lifestyle bullying policies are issues he feels very strongly about and he said at conference that people wanted a Govt who would not tell them what to do.

He echoed what Sanja Jeet said earlier when she spoke of how she was fed up with LibLabCon politicians putting themselves first and not the people they are supposed to serve and represent.

"I want to grow up in a Britain of common sense," she said and many agreed judging by the sound of applause.

Another new UKIP member Alex Singleton, formerly of the Telegraph, later spoke about how buckets of cash are wasted on EU silliness, exclusive diversity jollies, and a host of other projects that appear to come from the depths of insanity while the poor in the third world get poorer.

He said he had recently been commissioned by the Mail to write a blog exclusively on UKIP and the word in the main stream news media was getting out as many realise that when writing about Cameroid sales fall but when writing about UKIP or the desire to be free of the EUSSR they rise and internet comments pour in.

The first day of conference ended with members from Young Independence and other speakers outlining the Party's policies on all sorts of domestic and international issues from membership of the EU to grammar school education, and long term care for the elderly to the abolition of National Insurance, and securing Britain's defence to securing decent and proper housing for those who need it.

* I have to say that the one UKIP policy I am entirely against is the mad plan to bring back the death penalty. There is a fringe issue due to start shortly so I'd better be off to debate why I think that the leaps and bounds taken by the party will force it several steps backwards if it hangs the spectre of execution by the state up for public support.

I honestly believe that most tolerant, freedom loving people don't want to return to this barbarity but they DO want to be sure that justice is done and lifelong sentences until death are imposed for murder with no time off for good behaviour.

IN EASTBOURNE

I made it despite my doubts thanks to selling the car that I no longer need and I am now sitting in my shitty hotel ready for the UKIP conference which starts tomorrow.

I'm staying at the Savoy Court Hotel which is obviously paranoid about smokers and threatens fines of £50 on the spot for smoking. It's a damn shame it can't be deoderised with the fresh smell of aromatic tobacco because the room stinks of fresh paint and must have been recently decorated. It's sticking in my throat and making me feel sick so getting outside in the fresh air is no bad thing. The window will stay open for as long as I am here.

Still, I do object to paying for a room when most of my time will be spent outdoors. Sadly, sleeping in this chemical nightmare means that my throat which is beginning to get dry will be sore and hoarse by the time I wake tomorrow.

I will be going out for a meal soon and I really hope the stench of this paint clears or the food will taste like Dulux too.

I hope to be able to blog from conference - at least at the end of each day if not moment by moment or speech by speech - unless I get too drunk of course which is not like me but then I am in a strange land and not really welcome at my hotel so I'll need to stay out as long as possible.

My mind about not coming to conference was made up until our branch chairman phoned at the last minute to see if I'd had a change of heart and, well, thanks to the car sale, the offer of a free lift was too good to turn down.

However, it meant that I wasn't able to ring around as much as I usually do to ensure the hotel I stay in does welcome smokers and I had to plump for the one I got in a last minute deal and hope for the best. We all know that hope in NuBritain is pretty futile and built around "give us your money and fuck off."

SLEAZE v CRIMINALITY IN GOVT

I'm gutted that I can't make this year's UKIP conference at Eastbourne.



Of course if it was true that I am indeed one of one of Big Tobacco's paid "stooges" then I'd be able to go because I'd have an income or a lot of money but at the time when tickets needed to be booked, and a lift was in the offing from my branch Chairman, there was not a sniff of any work in sight and I could not spend one penny on anything that was not essential.



I have come to admire and pin my hopes for a better economic and social future on UKIP. I'm happy to promote what the party stands for and put my head above the parapet to stand as a candidate when and where needed. However, my family must always come first and if money is tight then little jollies like weekend conferences are the first to be struck off the calendar.



Now, as the conference is almost upon us, and some work has started to dribble in, it's too late to change my mind and so I'll wait to hear how it all goes and maybe even buy the conference DVD after the event.



It certainly promises to be a good one as UKIP finally comes of age. The public is beginning to see it is the only alternative to the current state of affairs where people are too scared to speak their minds, our youth is lost and out of control, parents have no idea any more where the boundaries lie and what they should do if their kids cross, and too many are persecuted because they do not buy into the 21st Century healthist religion and repent for their bad lifestyles.



Many former main stream politicians are flooding over to UKIP as they see that Labour has lost its soul, the Conservatives have lost their heart, and the LibDems are plugged into the life support machine switched on by Tories that could fail at any time.



One such crossover is Neil Hamilton who we last saw leaving John Major's Govt in the Cash for Questions affair.



All that sleazy stuff of the former Conservative MPs now seems like a porn star's picnic compared with the utterly sinister and downright criminal workings of the last Govt which simply took the piss and stole cash payers' cash because it could.



I have come to believe that everything that is wrong with this country began when the EU decided that Europe should be a superstate and its citizens should be robbed, lied to, forced to accept alien cultures, and to abandon free thought, free action and free speech.



It is such a huge machine that it has become like the Monster Raving Loony Party making irrelevant and ridiculous laws because it must "do something" about "something" some self interest lobbyists or fake charity deems needs to be done.



Labour gave the UK's rights away to three unelected people and never asked us what we thought. Instead they called us racists because we questioned where this union would take us. The NuConservatives are so scared of not being like Labour that they dare not question whether being in this political union of one leader, one country, one nation is a good thing or not.



Back in 1973 when our parents and grandparents were privileged enough to be given a say, what they wanted was free trade with friends and neighbours to spice life up a bit. My mum wanted to be able to buy the ingredients for spaghetti bolognese at the new local supermarket instead of having to order them specially from the local delicatessen which no longer exists, incidentally.



No one was ever asked about political union. No one was ever asked about the loss of our own Govt's power to make laws. No one knew that one day we would be criminalsed for having a smoke and denormalised for eating a doughnut.



And if we were even allowed to complain about some of the oppression forced upon us then maybe we could grudgingly live with it.



My mind on the EU and UKIP was made up in 2009 when as voters and citizens of the EU we planned to attend the The First Anti-Prohibition Conference in the very Parliament in Brussels that was supposedly ours.



When it was cancelled two days before it was due to start after one phone call from an UNELECTED smoke free officer direct to her pal the EU President, and the whole thing had to be moved to a hotel across the road at the last minute, I knew then that the EU was a dictatorship and free will and free votes were just window dressing.



I am sure the UKIP conference which begins on Thursday September 8 will be a huge success and I wish the delegates all the best. I'm sorry I can't be there but I understand that the Spring Conference next year will be held at Skegness which is practically on my doorstep and so one that I can't fail to miss.

UKIP WINS COUNCIL CONTROL

I've been waiting for confirmation from UKIP head office about the win that the NW Cambridgeshire branch of UKIP has released that it has taken control of Ramsey Town Council with nine UKIP councillors elected and four onto the Norwich North Council.

All I've managed to find is this news that UKIP has taken one seat at Tunbridge Wells.

Due to the lack of updates on Ukip.Org which has posted a piece about how some of the party's younger members did, I've been looking around for confirmation of this astounding result without success.

It is a fact that our press is biased and is currently pushing the idea that Britain has gone back to being a two party spolitical system after the collapse of the LibDem vote so it might just be that these alleged "impartial" journalists didn't want to feature our party's success in the same way that they couldn't be bothered to even mention that yesterday marked a milestone in our history

The result of the stunning win at Ramsey has been posted on Facebook so until I hear differently, and as I am assured this is true, I'll stick my neck out, post up the results, and say congratulations to all involved. One council today - next year many more as the word gets out that UKIP is the ONLY alternative to the LabCon (perhaps the Lib aspect doesn't figure anymore).

IT WAS THE NON-VOTER WOT DONE IT

Political philosopher Edmund Burke said evil triumphs when good people do nothing and that's exactly what happened across the Uk last night. The non-voter was in the majority and they cleared the way for bigoted NuLiebore to take seats they didn't deserve which will make the rest of us suffer for as long as it takes to get them out again.

One can only hope the Great British Public wakes up and begins to realise that they are allowing a tyrannical dictatorship to take hold. For sure if the extremist Labour Party retains power here for too long, we will begin to see bins getting emptied once a month, residents being fined for daring to have too much rubbish, and motorists being banned from entering our town centre, and probably at some stage being fined for not car sharing as well.

Of course the party's hatred of smokers is well documented and I genuinely fear for our future as NuLiebour begins to work out how it can stave off cuts by trawling in cash from persecuting us further. My guess is cigarette bins will begin to disappear so they can fine us for dropping biodegradble cig ends, and I am sure outdoor bans are a breath away too.

This despicable Party will enforce it's ideology on people by any means to force compliance as we have seen many times during the agony of the Bliar/Brown dictatorship years and the corruption of their former taxi for hire ministers like the appalling Big Pharma lackey Pat Hewitt.

Only 36% of people eligible to vote turned out in Lincoln and in another ward, the figure was 15%. Bearing in mind that we were being asked to vote on something as important as a huge change to our constitutional voting system, the apathy is almost criminal.

I asked one journo at last night's count whether she thought it was time to make voting compulsory, which I might be in favour of, but when I asked if she thought it should be backed up by prosecution of those who don't vote, she didn't reply. I wouldn't be in favour of criminalision for non voting especially because I think it would target poorer people who currently don't vote because they don't see anything in it for them.

I am pretty astounded at my result at the North Kesteven District Council election here in my home ward but obviously very pleased at doing so well when I never had any time to campaign and most of what I could do was done in Lincoln.

I think it's a shame that rather than waste our cash and our time on Cleggy's "Miserable Little Compromise" - that might just jump up and bite his backside on top on terrible election results for the Limp Dumps - perhaps time, energy and money should be spent on promoting why it's so damn important to get to the polls.

At least I can say don't blame me. I didn't let it happen. I voted for UKIP.

UKIP - ON THE UP

From 48 votes for the first UKIP candidate standing in a British election, to second in the last EU elections, second in the last parliamentary {by}election, and now with candidates standing across all local areas in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

It has become the party of the people - the ignored, the disaffected, the disadvantaged, the fed up, and the free. Definitely worth a watch where you will hear policy on the smoking ban, why UKIP wants out of the EU, and a call for real services to be saved while focussing less on propaganda issues.

ABANDONED!

I've given up waiting for the response from the tobacco company Imperial and I'm fed up of giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've always said the industry is not our friend but it is not our enemy unlike the anti-smoker industry. I was wrong.

They have abandoned us, the antis have won, the tobacco companies have let them. Choice is consigned to history for those of us who want the natural product and not some man made alternative. I guess growing our own tobacco is the only way forward for those of us lifelong smokers who enjoy the old fashioned way of smoking.

When I did speak to Imperial, their representative banged on about how they were trying to get a smoking shelter. Wow! (not) and they were watching the Philip Morris I deserve to be heard campaign but seem to be doing nothing more than that. Whatever the tobacco companies are doing for us to stop this hateful persecution, they doing it through Forest. I won't criticise Forest because it is our only friend and our only hope. However Government doesn't listen to Forest anymore - because it hates smokers and will purge us from society by any means and it looks like Big T will help them.

I believe our only hope of getting Govt to sit up and take notice is to shift our support to UKIP. Sadly, too many who say they care about this issue and it really does matter prefer to vote Tory for fear of getting Labour back. I think they deserve all they get but we don't.

I have been really busy as the local election gets nearer but as I'm relatively skint, election leaflets and time to deliver them is something I don't have. We have a local paper here that tends not to give us coverage but I am confident that UKIP is winning broader support even though the academics still don't get what UKIP is about and are just looking for a new political "villain" with the demise of the BNP.

Even arrogant Labour is beginning to see UKIP as a threat. What did they expect when they turned their back on their core support and ignored them thinking we would have no where else to go?

I've found somewhere and so have many others. I'm still beating back "UKIP is racist" allegations from far left socialists but then I've come to the conclusion that they are just a different set of bigots who brand anyone that doesn't agree with them.

TOBACCO CHAT

Apologies to those of you have been revisiting all week to find an update on my planned chat with a tobacco company representative and found nothing but silence.

The representative was going to write a post for this blog about several things that are being done by the industry to help the consumer but was then told to hold back because of certain things that are happening. Letting the cat out of the bag could well prove to be counter productive and I wouldn't want to be responsible for that.

I am assured, however, that as soon as something can be said, it will be said. The chat in general perked me up a bit and I felt a bit more positive that the latest assault on smokers - the tobacco display ban and plain packaging - can be fought and won.

The other reason for the lack of blogging has been my painful arm and needing it for use during a very busy working time which has meant resting it in my own time. I did ring my GP and was offered an appointment I couldn't take because of work. I asked for today when I'm free but was then told the computer didn't go that far ahead in the diary but if I rang today then the doctor would asses if I needed an appointment or not.

I hadn't even told the receptionist was what was wrong with me. I was flabbergasted and an involuntary mock snigger was given in response. I just said I'd get in touch another day. My cynical level then shot up about 100 notches of disbelief.

Dontcha just love the NHS that, here at least, has got to the point that they don't think we're even bright enough to know when we are ill or that we do actually need to see our doctor.

I hear our local A&E pretty much throws you out unless you're on the brink of immediate death these days but there is a walk in centre in town. I'll have to check if I can go because I live out of town and then just grin and bear the four hours or so waiting time to be seen.

That will have to wait until I'm free again which won't be anytime soon. I am covering full time at a local paper for, hopefully, not much more than another month. I can't take time off because if the cover is off then where does that leave the paper that needs the cover, and where would it leave a freelance like me that has no employee rights to be off sick?

In addition, our local election campaign for UKIP has been launched and as official press secretary, it has taken up a lot of my time which would normally be spent here and there is so much more to do yet.

Please do keep visiting the blog because at some point there will be a post from the tobacco company representative - don't expect the earth because this fight now is little bit by little bit but every move we make is going the right way - and there will be times when painful arm or not, a good old rant cannot be suppressed.

VOTE UKIP - SAVE BRITAIN

Lincoln and Gainsborough UKIP members were invited to a social and recruitment evening organised by the landlord of the Turnor Arms in Wragby.

The line up I manged to shoot (with the camera of course) included Nick Smith the chairman and UKIP Parliamentary candidate for Lincoln during the last general election, and Tony Wells who stood for Sleaford and North Hykeham last May.

They will be both be standing as local candidates along with others in the photo including yours truly. I got the last of my nomination signatures today and so campaiging will now begin in earnest. We will be setting up stalls in town and knocking on doors telling people what UKIP is about over the next few weeks.

But it can be summed up in one phrase : Vote UKIP - Save Britain. UKIP is the only non-racist, common sense, pragmatic, fair, and meaningful alternative to the current LibLabCon which is killing our culture, heritage, national identity, and notions of tolerance and fair play.

For those still to be persuaded that UKIP can handle the economy, they only need look at what the NuConservatives are doing to see that they are stealing UKIP policies and passing them off as their own - including combining NI and income tax into one deduction from pay slips.

UKIP is the party of the people for the people so vote UKIP in May if only to tell the other three that enough is enough. Voting UKIP means your vote might actually change something.

GOOSE PIMPLES AS UKIP COMES OF AGE

Tears, passion, determination and hope were the hallmarks of UKIP's Spring Conference at Scarborough where the party came of age after 13 years of battling to win main stream public support.

I got goosepumps as I sat among the thousands of delegates who watched history in the making as this former one issue fringe party called out the lions of the LibLabCon to a fight for the heart and soul of the country.

Support for UKIP is In the National Interest and I believe those who care about freedom, democracy and stability have a duty to future generations to come on board now and stop the damage caused by the career LibLabCon politicians.

The party's excellent result in Barnsley shows that is the real alternative to the LibDems and with hard work it can become the third party of British politics. Perhaps it could do even better as it does appear the British public is waking from a very long slumber.

Almost 70% didn't vote at Barnsley - not because they are content with the "Coalition of Children" as Lord Monckton called the NuGovt - but because they can't see anything or anyone worth voting for. They've lost their faith that the Three Party Alliance can help them so they stay home in despair and switched off. How big would Labour's true share of the vote be if they had turned out?

In UKIP is a party that speaks for all of the disaffected of the LibLabCon - the ones who can see nothing familiar in the Parties of their parents. The political wind is changing and UKIP has caught it.

What's at stake is everyday life. For a party accused of being "xenophobic" UKIP has members from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds who see UKIP as the ONLY alternative party and the only one courageous enough to speak in real opposition to issues of grave concern that dare not speak their name.

The speakers who had the most effect on me were the ordinary granddad - a former Labour councillor - who would rather be with his grandchildren but he has come out of retirement and back into politics because he truly fears for their future.

Then there was the former Conservative member who said this battle for freedom and real democracy was as important as the battles of WW1 and WW2. He is not the only one to see that EU control of nation states is dangerous to our economic and social well being.

UKIP's stance on wanting out of the EU is not about hate of Europe - it's about hate of the undemocratic power of individuals over all nations of our continent.

UKIP's fight is with the EU for killing and stifling the diversity of our European friends and neighbours with endless regulations and ideological beliefs that don't relate to real people.

The battle is about fighting intolerance, division, exclusion, inequality and thought crime. The battle is to create wealth because without it there is nothing to share.

UKIP believes the people of this country should have the power to make their own decisions in line with what is best for their economic and social needs. We should at least be asked whether we want in or out of the EU.

Another speaker told the story of a school boy tasked to do an essay on the benefits of being a member of the EU. He researched it but couldn't find anything he thought was beneficial and so he wrote about the disadvantages of being in the EU. He was given detention.

A schoolgirl who decided to be a UKIP candidate in a mock election was told there would be no representation of "racist" parties. It confirmed in her mind the importance of freedom of speech.

Throughout the whole two days of conference and speaking to many UKIP supporters, I did not hear one word said that could be deemed racist. I also saw too many black and Asian faces among the delegates to be convinced it is "xenophobic" in any way.

Another myth about UKIP is that it only draws in Tories who see it as a "protest group". There are too many former Labour supporters and Lib Dem supporters for that and the Tories have come over because they don't recognise this brand of NuConservatism promoted by Dave and his mates.

One speaker who brought tears to my eyes was a fifth generation fisherman. A man who has never been involved in politics but is moved to join the fight because of his fear that there will be no sixth generation out at sea but on the dole. He can see his culture being slaughtered with the thousands of dead fish he has to keep throwing back under ludicrous EU demands of Fish Discard - and the continual rolling over of the British Govt in pandering to outrageous EU demands.

I joined the party as the only alternative when I felt politically and socially disconnected by the smoking ban. I didn't expect much and I was wary. I found almost immediately that every thing I'd ever read about UKIP in the press did not reflect the majority view on the ground.

It is drawing in people from left, right and centre who are coming together because they can see that UKIP's leader is strong, original, passionate, skilled, and he's certainly no "Heir to Blair."

He has common sense and courage and he inspires that in his membership. They are ordinary people who would rather be sitting at home but they know this fight is down to them. They are not taking to the streets to riot but with quiet dignity they have taken to canvassing on the doorstep instead. They have joined a party that has listened and will act but will not make promises it can't keep.

Farage comes across as genuine. He is such a great orator and politican he would be an asset to any of the LibLabCon. He can talk the talk and walk the walk but he chooses not to. Indeed, when he took part in the Mumsnet debate, he was asked why he didn't progress his personal career and join the Lib Dems. For Farage it is about honouring and staying true to what he believes in. He will take no part in selling Britain's soul for his own professional gain.

The question of the future will be who is "Heir to Farage" and the answer might lie in the inspiring Young Independents group made up of members aged 18 - 24. Their speakers were intellectual, original, independent and refreshing. Surveys show that UKIP is attracting more support among this age group than the LibDems. UKIP will abolish tuition fees for students and it can make that promise.

I'm looking forward to September and the next conference in Eastbourne. Meanwhile, we have the upcoming council elections to fight. Bearing in mind UKIP's cuts aim to hit those at the top who can most afford it most, and the useless quangos that support them, it has a strong local message to take out to the door.

With four new defections also announced during Conference, it's obvious that UKIP really is a party on the up that has come of age and the electorate has recognised it.

UKIP SHAMES THE LIBLABCON

At last. It appears the electorate is waking up to the LibLabCon as people in Barnsley voted in droves last night to push UKIP into second place and the Tories and LibDems right off the scale.

Serves you right Nick Clegg with your refusal to acknowledge smokers, your arrogance in deciding what "freedoms" we are permitted and which we are not. I hope your party is finished due to its shameful support of the anti-smoker industry and smokerphobe ideology.

I also hope that Real Conservatives will abandon Cameron and his usurpers who, like the Lib Dems, have betrayed their members' hopes and beliefs. The support smokers gave to them in hope at the last election, won't come their way again because they have not done one thing for us.

The result in Barnsley was brilliant - but for the Labour win. I hope it's a one off for them in a safe seat. Surely the electorate is not so stupid as to trust NuLabour again. It's refusal to listen to smokers, and it's active campaign to exclude, denormalise, and criminalise smokers, means its lost my vote and that of others like me who were loyal for generations. That will never come back.

Disaffected, Lib lab and Con supporters, cross over and be part of a new future for the country and support the only party that cares about it - UKIP.

I am so happy today. I hope the LibLabCon took note of what happened last night. The quiet revolution has begun. We will not be ignored any longer.

MAKE THE POLITICAL REVOLUTION HAPPEN

It looks like the lost core support from the LiblabCon is starting to make itself felt in the Barnsley By-election. Political pundits say UKIP candidate Jane Collins could take second place behind Labour when the votes are in - especially as the Party is planning a final push after a favourable survey showed them in third place.

I'm told weighted data excluding don't knows shows the miner's daughter neck-and-neck with the Conservative on 11%. That matches what is coming up from the ground. Whenever UKIP knocks doors and talk to people they gain votes and support in droves.

Disgruntled angry voters ignored by the LibLabCon are finding UKIP an alternative in place of their traditional support. They're shunning the bigoted BNP because they know that socially backward party can't affect the change they so desperately want.

The voter can see that UKIP has common sense policies and it puts the UK's interests first. The best alternative these people had before to the main two party alliance was the Lib Dems. It now looks likely to get pushed into fourth place.

Barnsley can make the political revolution happen. More canvassers are needed for the final push to get UKIP high in the polls and show the LibLabCon that that we've had it with their lies, false promises and downright incompetence.

SHOULD PRISONERS HAVE THE VOTE?

NUGOVT - SAME OLD FRAUD

Phil Williams explains how the NuGovt was conned by the self-interest cronies appointed by the last Govt which the public kicked out of office.



This is yet further evidence that the ConDems are totally naive and stupid and will believe any old tripe put forward by Labour's civil servants who despite a general election, are still making policies that the majority of non-smoking and smoking voters rejected at the ballot box.

They want choice, equality, to be treated as grown ups, and to be allowed to decide for themselves where they socialise and who with. The NuGovt doesn't care about the voter which is why I believe it will lose the next election. People are already fed up and if they do not do something to address the very real concerns of freedom of choice v dictatorship, then they are finished as parties.

Tory supporters are already hanging their heads in embarrassment at this "socialist" NuConservative party and frankly, the LibDems have become a laughing stock. If they do not change their bigoted stance on smokers, then other parties will get the support that might have gone their way

They've lied to their core support - students - and their once in their history go at being in Govt has only shown that they are no alternative. The hopes people had in them to be "different" from the other two main parties has only been exposed as false and built on nothing more substantial that straw.

Yes, the Lib Dems are finished as a party. I think some will stay with the Tories as the best hope of keeping their fat salaries. Others will join NuLabour - and as that thoroughly corrupt party has bragged - in the thousands.

The only decent LibDems I know are Coun Carl Minns from Hull and the Mayor of Market Rasen, Ken Bridger. I wish they'd both see sense and cross over. Ken I know is very much an ordinary bloke trying to do good. From what I have learned of Carl, I feel he is the same. UKIP needs more people like that. Their talents are wasted with their party of choice.

I recall Dudley UKIP councillor Malcolm Davis - who crossed over from the LibDems - said he was disillusioned with his former party and many more feel like he does.

UKIP can become the new party of the people for the people. It is growing from the bottom up and is taking support from the LibLabCon party. It is not full of "nazi brownshirts" as jealous critics put out to scare away support. It's full of people fed up at being ignored over all sorts of issues - the smoking ban being the one that affects 12 million potential voters.

The media also criticises UKIP because its prospective MPs are ordinary people so fed up with the LibLabCon dictatorship, that they have taken matters into their own hands in a bid to get that change that Britain so desperately needs if she is to survive, and her people are to remain free.

They are not slick politicians trained in the art of lying. They are honest men and women who tell it as they see it. They may say things people don't like - but at least they know what they are voting for.

Currently the main parties are making Britons that thing they said they'd never be - slaves.

HISTORY REPEATS?

They say things go in cycles and as there is much civil unrest - at least in the minds of millions of people unhappy with the dictatorial way this country is going - it reminded me of what happened in Britain 100 years ago this summer.

The country blew because the working man had enough of slave labour for low wages, disrespect from his employers, and the sheer bloody poverty gap between those that had and those that had nothing but the hours of a day spent trapped in dangerous factories and on railroads.

1911 was one of the hottest years on record - so intense was the heat that it even stopped the birds from singing - and they say this summer may well be another scorcher. A fine setting to the heated rage that currently bubbles under the surface and made worse by the ignorance of the establishment that cares only for the "agenda" and not the people that blindly support it with no idea of what they are voting for.

That was shown in the Oldham and Saddleworth Byelection. If only the 52% of non-voters had made a stand, come out to vote, and taken a chance on something different, the rest of us would have a voice and a slice of hope.

Instead they cleared the way open for the corrupt and thoroughly despicable Labour party to take the seat that is so far removed from it's roots as the working class man's friend that there is no point to it even pretending to care about anyone on less than £100,000 a year.

And as Leg Iron says, the country could spill over into violence because of the Labour win :

Labour winning that by-election was the best thing that could happen. Winning it with such a paltry share of the vote was even better. The control freaks are encouraged to push and push and push and that step too far comes ever closer.

I don't know what it will be. I don't know when or where it will happen. Neither does anyone else but it just came a lot closer to happening.

It won't be a momentous announcement. It will be a little thing, a trivia, a small nudge over the edge of the abyss we've been nudged towards for many years.

One last, lightweight, inconsequential straw.



For smokers those straws are piled on daily as new ridiculous health scares and threats hit the media fuelled and funded by Fake Charities that are simply a front for the establishment's agenda and Party ideology.

Oldham and Saddleworth is a seat in the BNP’s traditional heartlands, an area in
which they have had councillors and took over 11% of the vote at a Westminster
election. So it is an excellent move that UKIP managed to beat those primeval racists into fifth place.

The result was as follows:

Labour 14,718 (42.1%)
Lib Dem 11,160 (31.9%)
Conservative 4,481 (12.8%)
Paul Nuttall – UKIP 2,029 (5.8%)
BNP 1,560 (4.5%)
Others 982 (2.8%)

Interestingly the English Democrat candidate with 144 votes was beaten by the
Official Monster Raving Loony Party which got 145 votes despite the English Democrats
paying for two billboard sites during the campaign.

I'm guessing that UKIP's rise in popularity is not going down too well with the establishment which is now using "research" to scare the hell out of the electorate by claiming that UKIP is a far right, radical and racist party that is attracting bigots from the BNP.

The research does, however, acknowledge that UKIP is now the fourth party of Britain but it has the reasons for its rise in popularity all wrong.

In the recent Oldham by-election, the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) confirmed its status as the fourth largest party in British politics, ahead of the British National Party (BNP). Now, with the local elections looming, experts are warning that UKIP looks set to become a successful radical right party, similar to those seen in countries like Austria, France and Italy, and a ‘significant vehicle’ for Islamophobia.

“Our research shows that Euroscepticism is not the whole story where UKIP is concerned,” say two of its authors — Dr Robert Ford and Dr Matthew Goodwin — experts on voting behaviour at the Universities of Manchester and Nottingham.

“There’s no doubt the party’s position on Europe is a big factor, but their supporters are increasingly concerned with attitudes more typically associated with the British National Party (BNP). Like far right voters, those who vote UKIP are dissatisfied with the mainstream parties and hostile toward immigration.”

The research is the first of its kind to analyse and understand the attitudes and motives of UKIP supporters. At the 2010 general election, UKIP called for an immediate halt on immigration, the ending of multicultural policies and a ban on the niqab and burqa in certain buildings. Its leader, Nigel Farage, has since given a “cautious welcome” to emulation of his party by the French National Front (FN), one of the most successful radical right parties in Europe.

“Our analysis shows while UKIP does mop up ‘defectors’ from the Tories - upper and middle class voters who largely follow UKIP to lodge their feelings on Europe at European Parliament elections - its appeal in domestic elections is rather different”, says Robert Ford, the lead author.

“In domestic elections like Oldham East, UKIP tends to do best amongst disaffected working class voters, who find UKIP’s populist attacks on immigrants, Muslims and the political establishment attractive. UKIP appeals to the same kind of voters as the BNP, but may be able to recruit a broader and more sustainable vote base, with UKIP voters outnumbering BNP voters three to one. While many voters who agree with the BNP’s political messages, they are turned off by its violent and fascist reputation. UKIP suffers no such legitimacy problems. It is in a position to not only recruit a much broader base of BNP support, but a much more sustainable base.”

The research also shows that due, in part, to its more moderate reputation, UKIP has succeeded in securing the votes of important groups like women, who have traditionally rejected the BNP due to its perceived extremism.

“Until now, getting to grips with UKIP has been extremely difficult due to an absence of any real systematic research,” Dr Goodwin adds. “This is why the party remains something of a puzzle to many.”

The paper; Strategic Eurosceptics and Polite Xenophobes: support for the UK Independence Party in the 2009 European Parliament Elections, looks at data gathered from the YouGov online panel in the week prior to the European Parliament Election, and is also authored by Dr David Cutts at the University of Manchester.

Amongst other methods, the researchers compared the views of more than 4,306 UKIP in a group of 34,000 randomly interviewed in the 2001 census. It builds on their previous pioneering studies of BNP voters.

“Ultimately” adds Dr Goodwin,”our research backs up assertions that UKIP, unlike the BNP, are thought of as a legitimate force in British politics, with access to mainstream media and political elites. Voters who shun the BNP are willing to listen to the same messages when they come from UKIP. UKIP may therefore function as a “polite alternative” for voters worried about immigration and Islam, but repelled by the BNP’s public image.”

The fact that YouGov - a throughoughly bigoted organsation that works for Govt and produces "results" that Govt wants to persuade the electorate that they really want a Govt that dictates to them how to live - leads me to believe instantly that this "research" is largely rubbish.

My own experiences of UKIP is that racism is frowned upon. Nigel Farage represents more accurately all of the different strands of discontentment running through British society and particularly it's concern at EU migration.

Not only do we have situation where English people are required to speak Polish so that they can work in British factories, but a friend of mine tells me his job is currently under threat because of a new Polish manager at his factory who is shoving out English workers to get her Eastern European mates in to the exclusion of the local unemployed.

This very cultural, third generation mixed race British born, non racist young man of 21, has been trying to get long term unemployed friends into jobs at his factory but all have been blocked by the Polish manager. Persecution by the ConDems because they have no work, and being pushed out of their traditional jobs by the EU, is why people are raging.

It has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with fairness and wanting to be treated equally in the land of their birth whatever their ethnic genetics.

Others are simply terrified by Islam - a religion they do not understand in a country which is so culturally different to those in the Middle East where Islam rules. Can they really be dismissed as racist because they fear the loss of their own cultural identity?

Racism means judging a person by the colour of their skin. UKIP doesn't do that. Unlike the BNP, it welcomes people from all faiths and backgrounds and it is pulling in as many disaffected Labour and Lib Dem supporters of all faiths and colours as Tory supporters who miss Margaret Thatcher.

The establishment may want to believe - and "prove" to others - that UKIP is a Tory middle class protest party but it is so much more than that.

It is the only hope this country has got.

If the LibLabCon Party does not start to listen to the very angry electorate, then this summer may just prove to be as heated as 1911 as the ordinary person reacts to yet more state control which continues unabated despite the fact that we sent a very clear message to all three parties at the last election that we have simply had enough of it all.

We want our lives back. UKIP can deliver that. It's why I support the party in a way I haven't since campaigning for the former Labour party back in the early 90s.
