WORDS THAT STIFLE OPINION AND DEBATE

I am simply in despair at the way the words "inappropriate" and "offensive" are bandied about these days because they are often used to shut someone up with a valid point because someone else doesn't like what they say.

I'm currently fuming after my normally well-behaved, polite and mature son, who had an issue with one of his tutors, has been hauled over the coals for posting an "inappropriate" opinion on a college public forum.

I asked him about it after we got an official letter warning that any more of it and he would be kicked out and have his future ruined before he'd even begun.

Crikey, I thought, what on earth did he say?

He tells me he said his tutor was full of B...S... but he had been spoken to, he did apologise and ended up laughing with the tutor about it.

So why then did some other jobsworth in the college takes such "offence" at something that had been resolved and dealt with in what I believe was a very "appropriate" manner?

Because the comment was left there a week and no one - not even the staff who control the thing - bothered to delete it and the jobsworth was personally "offended" by it because she thought it was "inappropriate". My son was expressing his opinion for God's sake. He hadn't stalked the tutor, threatened violence, carried out a hate campaign behind his back, called him a paedo or kiddie fiddler, or even tried to get him sacked from his job.

"What did he say," I said to the Jobsworth.

"I am not prepared to repeat it," she said.

"Well, I think it's important or how else do we know what we're dealing with?"

"I can only say it was B (dot,dot,dot) and S (dot, dot dot.)"

"So are we talking about the phrase he said he used "Bullshit" or a stronger word?" I implied "bastard" which it could have been but I thought if I said it that would give the sanctimonious hag a heart attack.

"It was the former not the latter but I am not prepared to use the phrase myself" she said.

I don't condone my son posting messages with words that can hurt but I feel this was resolved until someone not connected with the incident or the relationship between my son and his tutor decided to make it her business and resurrect it - while also putting it in writing which is bound to stay on his record somewhere. Strewth! Who are these people we are trusting with our children?

I also wanted to tell her that that my son is entitled to his opinion and using the words "inappropriate" or "offensive" won't change his view. Instead I said that he obviously has a problem with his tutor and where should he go to register a formal complaint or discuss these issues if he feels he is being let down.

"He can come to me," she said.

Yeah. Right. My feeling is there is no point unless Miss Offended agrees with him. Alternative views are disallowed in sanctimonious NuBritain.

I am a former student of that college, and so are my three daughters. None of us ever had this kind of problem with over reactive staff. If there was another college nearby, my son would leave this one as it does not have the students' best interests at heart. I always believed the college - which used to be a fine institution - was better than school 6th form. Now I know it is not.

The college, incidentally, also demands that students sign a pledge not to smoke in the open air anywhere in the grounds or else they could get kicked off the course. Now that is "inappropriate" and "offensive" as far as I am concerned.

I sincerely fear for my children's future in this country. Why did we let them ruin it?

HERE COME THE FOOD POLICE

Oh dear. It looks like the Food Police are not far away because according to the Devil's Kitchen, NuToryLimpDump health persecutor, Andrew Lansley, is now ordering us to eat what we're told.

I said ages ago - before the blanket smoking ban - that if they got away with that, then next they would be telling restaurants and cafes what they can and cannot put on their menus.

I had no idea that we already had some food classed as "illegal".

Personally, I've never fancied haggis nor blow fish, but each to his or her own.

It looks like the NuConservatives are showing themselves up to be the same as Nulabour when it comes to controlling every aspect of our lives.

I can only hope people vote more wisely next time and abandon them. One place to show them you've had enough is at the ballot box for the council elections in May - if the AV system of voting doesn't screw us up and further cement the British Dictatorship.

I'm not sure about that. I need to do a lot more research before I make my mind up about whether I'm yes or a no. My instinct urges me to say no because AV is neither here nor there.

If the Limp Dumps were serious about electoral reform they should have pushed for PR as they always have done until getting to power. I'm suspicious of their motives so I'm rather persuaded by the "better the devil you know that the devil you don't" stance.

Anyways, Bon Apetite, I'm off to enjoy my Sunday lunch full of all kinds of stuff that would give Lansley's Bully Nudge a heart attack - while I still can of course.

I know that one day I'll have to get used to Tofu and water. That's all that will be allowed to consume if this constant assault on our own personal freedom of choice does not end soon.

Whatever your view about tobacco and smoking, anyone with an ounce of perception can see that if these measures go through then it clears the way for restrictions on all sorts of legal products that the authorities don't like.

That is why it is imperative that you add your name to the petition. If you don't, and this goes through unchallenged, then it's time to take bets on what will be next.

For my money it will chocolate and sweets in plain packaging - cakes which are not allowed to look pretty, burgers sold on the black market on street corners, and fizzy drinks being hidden under the counter.

If they manage to eradicate tobacco use, and ultimately move to the next stage of criminalising law abiding smokers, don't think it won't be you next and whatever it is you like.

These proposals are preposterous. Tobacco is legal. There is no evidence that these sort of restrictions make smoking less attractive or accessible to youths.

I hate perfume. I hate the smell of it and that it makes me sneeze. I can't bear sitting near anyone wearing it in a restaurant as it spoils the taste of my food. The packaging is pretentious, the contents poisonous when inhaled, but I would not back any moves to restrict it's point of sale. Nor would I expect those who have a favourite brand to have to guess what they're buying because someone else like me hates it and starts making laws to eradicate it.

Look - we know what risks we take when we smoke. Kids are far more knowledgeable than we were about the dangers of active smoking. It's almost the first thing they learn these days. It's probably why the numbers of people taking up smoking are markedly lower than they were when I started.

When we reach the age where we can legally smoke it should be our choice based on informed risks, and not because Nanny Britain has sent us to the Bully to be punished because we won't take her good advice.

SHS, which I do not accept is any kind of major risk, can be avoided with choice so banning the consumption of a legal product in public is nothing to do with health and everything to do with Govt backing of denormalisation of a minority social and lifestyle group.

Further restrictions are just the next step towards making a legal product illegal.

I've always supported education on tobacco risks but I am against propaganda.

These proposed restrictions are simply propaganda. They will achieve no aim but further denormalisation of law abiding and mostly older lifelong smokers who face criminalisation if they do not comply with this new health world order.

Whatever it is that you like, do you seriously want to be next? Sign the petition and make sure you won't be.

SAKINEH UPDATE

I've been unable to shake from my mind the thought of the Iranian woman due to be stoned on the day she was due to die an inhumane death for her alleged adultery and murder.

The Iranian Govt has changed it's mind about which barbaric means it uses to take her life and has plumped for hanging instead but according to earlier reports her impending execution has not been carried out yet.

It seems the world is sitting by and grumbling disapproval at this case. The foreign office had strong words for a Tehran diplomat :

"I took the opportunity to remind him the UK Government would regard the execution of Ms Ashtiani as utterly unacceptable."

Someone pointed out to me today that we can't impose our Western morals on the Middle East. We may hate it and despise them for it, but they have to deal with things in their own way. It is their country and we have no right to tell them what to do any more than they have a right to tell us.

Does it matter to the world that the evidence gained to convict her is alleged to have been gained by torture? Obviously the world is jumpy about Iran's alleged nuclear technology and doesn't want to do anything to make Aminehjad blow. The life of one woman doesn't seem to matter in the wider scheme of things. I hate politics.

They keep telling us we live in a "progressive" world. I think in all sorts of ways, including our placid acceptance of this woman's fate, we are going backwards. I wonder how long it will be before we're living in caves.

AN APPEAL FOR JUSTICE

When 23 year old Mark Corely went missing his family hoped that he would turn up but five months later his body was found in a snow covered field miles away from home. He had been shot in the head.

His family was devastated but when five people were arrested for his murder, they thought at least that justice would be done. Seeing the scum go down for taking a life so treasured would at least give Mark's mum and dad some peace.

But this is Britain and justice is a word that doesn't mean what it says. Police incompetence meant that Mark's murderers walked away free after it came out out during the trial in 2002 that police illegally bugged private consultations between the solicitors and the accused.

Mark's dad Tony Corley said : "The judge halted the trial saying the police had committed flagrant breaches of the law but the detectives on the case were not charged - just disciplined for their wrong doing.

"Meanwhile, the five defendants were freed under the Human Rights act and as a result, no one has been convicted for Mark's murder."

If this happened to me, I think I'd want revenge. If the law wouldn't help me get justice for my son, then I'd be damn sure to try and get it for myself. Tony, however, has channelled that anger and frustration into something that can help other parents like him.

He has set up a support group for parents who received no justice after a son or daughter was murdered called StandTogether One of the members is the father of a son who was chased into the path of a lorry by thugs who then got less than six months jail time.

For all the crap we constantly hear about how life is so precious in this country we have to pour billions of tax payer's money in helping us all live longer and more healthily, but when push comes to shove, life in the UK doesn't matter at all. Mark Corley is proof.

Tony says that all the police officers involved in "investigating" (I use the word loosely) his son's murder have since either retired or moved on. It appears no one is willing to reinvestigate this murder - bearing in mind the change of law on double jeopardy, you would think that Lincolnshire Police might at least try and bring some peace to this troubled family that they let down so badly.

They owe it to the Corleys to look at this matter again but money is still worth more than life and justice in the UK and the cost of reinvestigating this case would probably be too much.

Meanwhile, Tony is doing all he can to help other parents in this situation but he needs help. He is asking for donations and fund-raising ideas for the new group he only founded this year.

Anything you can do to help, support, or just spread the word about this injustice and Tony's group, would help to bring peace to a troubled family that Britain has let down so very badly.

LIFELONG SMOKER EVICTED AT 88

Looks like denormalisation has actually got to the point where smokers are being made homeless. How else could the monster who is throwing an 88 year old lifelong smoker out into the street do it with such lack of empathy and compassion? This sort of behaviour against such a defenceless pensioner by the power of propaganda is considered normal these days.

After all, what would the righteous do if they couldn't enforce their caring upon us by forcing us out into the cold?

While cowardly Cleggy plays politics with smoking, when as Dep PM he should be writing to the Canadian PM to register his disgust, the pro-choice movement has jumped into action in response.

We don't have anti-smoker funding that achieves such great things as the eviction of old people from their homes, but we do have passion and a real desire to help those that are being abused because they are smokers. We do what we can. We show strength.

Rich White, the author of Smoke Screens, the Truth About Tobacco, and the Pro-Choice Smoking Doctor have written to the housing association asking them to reconsider on humanitarian grounds. They are asking for as many signatures as possible on a letter and he hopes to gain support from members of the world-wide pro-choice movement.

MP's CALL TO AMEND THE BAN

Obviously I welcome this move by MP David Nuttall to try and get an amendment to help struggling pubs that are dying because of the smoking ban and my fingers are very firmly crossed that someone will listen and actually take the common sense approach.

His 10 minute rule goes before the House of Commons tomorrow. I don't want to be negative but it appears the anti-smoking bigots are already getting the guns out to drown out the noise of anyone speaking up for us.

As one who does like pubs, but enjoys cafes and restaurants more, I wonder if anyone at all cares to bring back the choice there as we never hear of amendments coming that way. I'm still mourning the loss of my favourite Italian Restaurant that went a few months after the ban was imposed.

I think that now after three and a half years of social exclusion, it will be an uphill struggle and the coagulation Govt has not shown itself too willing to be fair about this. They are the same kind of fart sniffers as those who steal tax payers money to feather their own nests. They claim to care about people.They care only for profit.

I also worry that as much as MPs might want to suport David Nuttall, CaMoron and Cleggy won't be able to oblige because they are slaves to the EU and the commissioner has recently announced a move to ban smoking across the whole of Europe. Yes. The commissioner that we can't vote for but who dictates to us because that Scottish prick Gordon Brown gave Britain away with the Lisbon Treaty.

I could be wrong. I often am. Let's wait and see. Tomorrow, after Mr Nuttall's address to Parliament, we could see the first day back towards freedom and inclusion for our minority group so maligned and slandered by those with so much to gain financially from the misery they continue to impose.

ANTI-SMOKING INDUSTRY WRONG AGAIN

I was very sorry to hear about Charlie the Chimp who has outlived his fellow apes by 12 years.

These anti-smokers keep getting proved wrong don't they - or could it be that a smoking chimp lives longer than others because smoking does not make smokers die younger or maybe because he's a chimp and not human. I suppose they could use that one as an excuse.

At least they didn't try and "denormalise" the poor old chap and I'd have liked to see anyone tell him he couldn't smoke inside his zoo.

I think I'd rather be a chimp than have to put up with the bullies who are still trying to get into our private homes and cars

They can't do it without using chiiildren but they don't give a stuff whether there are children around or not.

It's their usual tactics. Hype up the fear factor, make parents feel like child abusers and then tell the world that they are, then when they've got the required number of smokers compliant, they move onto legislating against them chiiildren or not.

When the ban came out the only thing that I was grateful for was these moaning bullies would finally back off. Yes. I know I was naeive. This will not end until tobacco is illegal and smokers are criminalised. Make no mistake it's where this issue is heading.

And tobacco is not the issue here at all. It's about freedom. The right to live in your home in peace. The right to choose what you do behind closed doors without fear. If you stand by and let this happen without taking to the streets - whether you smoke or you don't - you are opening the flood gates of oppression on any health whim that any vested interest has in mind to impose upon you.

Next will be the food police who come round to check your fridge - for the Chiiiildren of course. Hot on the heels will be a cut off point at bars and pubs when you've had your state allotted "safe" number of alcoholic units in one week.

This has to stop and now. Is there no one in this country that cares about freedom and fair play? Is there no one with their Oxford and Cambridge education in Govt with half a brain to see through this shit? It seems to me that their parents wasted a shit load of money on thick zombies who will always be thick zombies. I've seen brighter graduate from the University of Life and HM prisons. Money can't buy intelligence that's for sure.

On the positive side, because I have been in despair about this issue for some time and news for us is rarely good, it seems some support is coming our way but even then I'm depressed at how few MPs care about their smoker constituents.

I've given up on mine Karl Mccartney. I am afraid he is a typical cowardly Tory. Behind the scenes he says he supports choice. In public he is too scared to show it. What use is he? I know one thing. He only won this seat from St Gillian of Merron by 1000 votes. If he wants to win it next time, he better start listening. The smoker people of Lincoln are vastly losing patience with him and so am I.

I'm beginning to think that Charlie the Chimp has more intelligence.

NORMAN WISDOM SAW THE LAST AND BEST OF ENGLAND

This is most definitely the end of an era.

I wish I'd been born into that last free generation instead of into the first to feel the force of "caring" Britain after being assured as a child and young person that Britain would always be free.

The ConLabLibTwats sold us to the highest bidder in the EU and practically fell over each other to be the first to give our country away, to make "freedom" unfashionable, to legalise and encourage hatred

Oh how I hate them and how envious I am of that icon of all that used to be British - Norman Wisdom. He will never see again the ruination of this land. He will never have to suffer being "denormalised", "re-educated" in the ways of humourless modern comedy. He will never be ashamed to laugh at jokes that Nanny says we can't laugh at anymore. He will not have to fear that he has no right to live just because of being himself. I want those feelings.

I can't wait until my time comes. There is nothing left here to live for. It feels as if all of the weight and power of the state is coming down on me supported by the stupid who voted for it and who continue to vote for it after falling for the manipulative lies and false promises of politicians. Will these people vote again for the ConLibLabTwats when Britain is bleached of her colours, we all have to live to be 200 or else our family gets it, we dare not laugh for offending someone, we dare not speak for fear of saying something against the law, we work as slaves because it's all we're good for.

And if we dare to challenge the lies and misinformation put out by our persecutors, we are dismissed as heretics

Yes, Norman Wisdom, has seen the best of England and liberty. He will never have to suffer this modern tyranny that will ensure that I am a criminal by the time I am his age.

Vote for this shower again and here is my prediction. By 2020, possession of tobacco will be illegal. You will be jailed if you are caught with it. Think very carefully whether or not you want to spend your old age in fear behind closed curtains smoking what has legally been enjoyed for centuries because that is the future for us.

RIP Norman Wisdom. I hope it's not too long before I can find the same kind of peace from the hell that is this "progressive" world. I pray for cancer or heart disease and I pray for it soon.

ASH LIARS SHOULD BE PROSECUTED

WANTED FOR LYING AND INCITING HATRED. Deborah Arnott of the discredited Big Pharma owned organisation ASH UK.

So the huge drain on public resources that is the astoundingly bigoted organisation ASH is yet again spouting lies about smokers - this time in a bid to make them unemployable.

This comes from an organisation that depends on tax payers money and Big Pharma money or it couldn't survive. It is a well documented fact that the public does not support this group or it's hate mongering. Donations from the public amount to £11,000 a year and my guess is that comes in from the swivel eye paranoid freaks who are not representative of what the great British public wants and are very much in the minority but Nanny Nulab gave them a big voice with our cash and dismissed dissenting voices. We were not even asked during selective consultation that only asked... errr ... anti-smoking charities and orgs dependant upon the persecution of smokers for their income.

What most honest Brits hate are liars. ASH's bleating untruths about the smoking ban has led to the legalisation of exclusion and discrimination but that's not enough for them. The hypocrites pretend to "care" about "the poor" who they say are too thick to speak up for themselves and too stupid to know what's bad for them so they need the bigots at ASH to "protect" them. This ASH argues, will lead them to live to be 200 years old safely in the poverty that makes them proper miserable while fat Debs at ASH and her over paid chubby chums in Scotland and Ireland get even fatter on our money.

Yes, it seems they care about "the poor" so much they want to tell even more lies to ensure they never get work again, starve to death on the streets, probably. ASH's so-called "caring" will then be exposed as they celebrate hounding smokers out of their jobs, their homes and onto the streets, because of telling lies like smokers spend too much time having fag breaks.

Before this piece of filth was put out by ASH, readers of this blog would have read how I don't smoke at work because I'm just too busy. I don't have time to go outside. ASH wants people to believe we are pathetic addicts like those on heroin and we can't do a morning's or afternoon's work without a fag. Wrong. So Wrong and if these twats knew anything about smoking, they would know it's wrong ... but hang on... of course they do but it doesn't matter. That doesn't fit their hate agenda.

What legal activity I or any other smoker does in our own time is no business of ASH, or our employers. It is our business. And besides, didn't we used to have legal breaks for 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon? I wouldn't know. I've never taken these breaks since about 1981 when I worked for British Rail. Perhaps NuLabour stripped the working class of this right as well as many others hard fought for by the working classes that the party despises.

I wonder how much time the greedy bigots at ASH spend surfing the net, booking their smoke-free holidays, visiting social network sites like Facebook, on Twitter, or simply stuffing their fat faces with chocolate or satisfying their Caffeine addiction with coffee

Of course this kind of hate propaganda spouted by ASH is what they intended all along and it appears to be working judging by what Leg Iron has to say about revolting comments on the story of smokers and working breaks elsewhere on the internet.

These people at ASH should be prosecuted. If they spread these kind of lies in a bid to get an ethnic, gender or sexuality minority sacked from work, then they would rightly face the wrath of our courts for inciting hatred.

Smokers are people too. We work hard. We have put up with too much from this lying shower. When will we be treated as equal in our own country and when will these bigots be brought to account for their lies?

My guess is when we finally get a Govt in this country that really does care about people and NuTory and ilLiberal Demotwat it's not.

I guess there's nothing for it. Vote UKIP with hope and when all else fails kill yourself rather than face the poverty, hate and discrimination that Govt is legislating for and ASH is planning for those it despises - smokers.

I wonder if the fat twats at ASH have been promised nice personal bonuses if they give it a final push and get more money for Big Pharma through forcing us all to use their ineffective nicotine replacement products. I really wouldn't be surprised as nothing else they say makes sense. And I should know. I am an expert on smoking. I've done it all of my life.

We in the Blogosphere have a record of being able to raise cash when it's needed. Does anyone know how much a private prosecution would cost against Deborah Arnott and her anti-smoker haters? Do we have any criminal lawyers in this movement willing to donate some time?

I am sure there are a myriad of charges we can raise including inciting hatred against a minority group, fraud, causing alarm, harassment and distress, offensive behaviour, anti-social behaviour ... oooh ... there's loads of criminal charges she should face but the point is can we do it and how?

WHO SAYS SMOKER BABIES ARE SMALL?

Anna Racoon has written a very amusing piece about puritan health freak Jamie Oliver's new baby.

Anna rightly pokes fun at the celebrity couple giving this poor child a stupid name as idiotic as his sisters. Yes, I'm sure they'll love their parents for that one day.

The birth didn't pass my notice but I was only interested for one reason. For all Oliver's sanctimonious lecturing to others on how to be "good" parents when it comes to feeding them the kind of shite they don't want, I'm sure his health paranoia must also make him anti-smoking.

Well you know what, Oliver, for all your puritanical, health zealotry, my second baby when born was bigger than yours who came in at a mere 6lbs 9oz.

I had the most stressful time of my life during my second pregnancy and my smoking reflected that. I was on 80 cigarettes A DAY and you know what, she came in at 7lbs 12oz. My biggest baby. Who says smokers have smaller babies? oh yes, that's right, the lying anti-smoker bigots who will do and say anything their Big Pharma paymasters tell them to say to encourage hatred, fear and prejudice against smokers.

As this example shows, this kind of health hype just isn't true - unless of course Jools has secretly been puffing on 100 cigs a day without us knowing. Somehow I think if that had been the case, then it might have given podgy Oliver a heart attack!

He really should watch his step. Nanny Obese will coming for him before too long.

HISTORY REPEATING

Perhaps daytime TV viewers can enlighten me further on a story I heard today from the brain dead numb skulls that put my gender to shame - Loose Women.

I'm told that this morning, one of the presenters was trying to incite hatred against lifestyle groups after the finger wagging antis came up with yet another stupid idea to get people to stop smoking and eat healthily. Pay 'em with taxpayers' money.

One of these women reportedly said that "smokers should be lined up against the wall and shot because they are killing themselves anyway." Whoever it was should be reported to the Broadcasters Standard Agency. It's disgusting that main stream TV companies can incite such violence against a minority group!

It looks like those bigots on the programme have outed one of their members and then shamed her into quitting. I feel sorry for her. They have just forced her into a 60% greater chance of getting lung cancer

If it is true that the presenter of that awful show did say this, then she deserves to go into Dick Puddlecote's Bigot Bin . Sorry I can't find a direct link to it. I know DP is currently compiling a list of all those anti-smoker comments urging death and murder to their fellow human beings.

To my friends, family and colleagues I say, if it truly came to lining up smokers and shooting them, would you stop them? Would you still stay silent because you despise the smell of smoke and believe the worst of what is told to you about smoking?

I know we are not Jews. I know smokers are thought of as lesser people and we have no right to claim to be a group. I know that what happened in Nazi Germany was one of the worst ever human atrocities - but it still happened to people whatever their tag because inhumane and bigoted people didn't like them - the look of them, the smell of them, their habits religious or otherwise, their lifestyles.

Somewhere at the beginning of that tragedy, which is such a relatively short time ago, was a Loose Women type person saying that Jews could choose not to be Jews and killing them was probably doing them a favour anyway.

Have we learned nothing? Why is the state encouraging this bigotry? I truly despair.

Browsing the internet today I came across this little nugget on Facebook encouraging hatred of a minority group and falsifying illness and irritation when around smokers.

It's called Coughing when you walk by smokers and hope they get the message

The group description reads: "Don't you just love it when you walk by someone smoking and all of the sudden you break out coughing? Maybe they'll get the message. SMOKING IS BAD!"


I joined the thing to leave a comment and check it out and found that it is full of the same kind of faking bigots. They scream that they are being murdered by smokers when they are not affected at all - but pretend to be. There are also lots of spammers advertising iphones on the group page so one can only hope that this group is not taken too seriously, and it's message of hate and intolerance does not spread too far.

I really didn't think that humans who pretend to "care" about people could sink so low. Even if by some miracle they really do want to be sure that smokers they've never met will live to be 100, then maybe they should get better informed about smoking and health.

Anyone who cares to go to the evidence, and not just believe what is spoon fed to a compliant media through self interest group press release, will know that it is more dangerous for lifelong smokers to quit.

The stupid and grotesquely immature chiiildren who set up this page need to grow up, get a life, and stop telling those who know better how to live theirs.

Meanwhile, I'm still hopeful that one day this NuGovt will actually stop giving state backing to such hatred and intolerance. According to Damien Green, tolerance and freedom of choice is the British way.

It's about time we British smokers saw some of it.

NO WONDER WE'RE SKINT

I know this is old now but I've only just seen it. No wonder the bloody country hasn't got a pot to piss in.

Add to this rubbish the half billion pounds spent in about three years on public funding the anti-smoking industry and it soon becomes clear that NuLabour was literally chucking money away.

I think that lot made up the absolute worst Government in history - ever!

Meanwhile I'm told by a very good source that all that anti-smoking money has been completely thrown into a black hole in Scotland at least.

Back in 2005, the Scottish bigots at ASH were moaning that there were too many smokers over the border - more than a million - shock horror!!!

After all their funding, lies, manipulation, exclusion and forced discriminatory laws, they've managed to bring the estimated number of smokers down from 1,048,000 in 2005 to more than a million in five years. whoopy bloody dooo. How much longer does the tax payer have to keep funding this expensive waste of time just to keep these blaggards in a job?

It seems to me that our Govts in the Uk are supporting health terrorists worst than those Islamic or Christian religious extremists.

Are Cameron and the ilLiberal Demotwat Cleggy really unaware of what a prejudicial organisation ASH is whatever side of the ocean it's on?

Wake up you two. Can't you see you're being used as dick-heads because ASH has sussed how stupid you are and that you really will swallow any old shit it puts out?

As most of the anti-smoking bile now comes from Cleggy's lot - who no one wanted as dep PM anyway - and most of the tolerance comes from Cameron's lot, my guess is that the Conservatives will give Cleggy enough rope to hang himself and his party before the next election.

This issue, I honestly believe, will chase the Illiberlas back to the fringes at the next election and make them as unelectable as Nulab is now. And all they have to do to win respect and more votes from both sides of this debate is to stop being bullies and treat people equally. Is that really so hard?

ONLY THE IRISH ....

I hear that the NuGovt is to abolish the ASBO.

In Ireland, it appears they have their own way of dealing with anti social behaviour.

I really don't approve of such action but I guess it's more effective than the current ASBO Badge Of Honour handed out in towns and cities across the mainland.
