Norman Percevel Rockwell was an American painter and illustrator. His works enjoy a broad popular appeal in the United States, Rockwell is most famous for the cover illustrations of everyday life scenarios he created for The Saturday Evening Post magazine over more than four decades. Among the best-known of Rockwell's works are the Willie Gillis series, Rosie the Riveter, Saying Grace, and the Four Freedoms series. As an artist his realistic aspect to everyday life showing the simplicity and sometimes humorous side of it, therefore, his artwork also showed his complexity. Rockwell could help people relate to others through his paintings of family life, work, and dedication. That is why I consider Norman Rockwell a genius. Norman Rockwell died November 8, 1978 of emphysema at the age of 84 in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
